How it works
Initiative & Ideation
A spontaneous idea, insight or solution for a social challenge arises within our network or is suggested by an involved individual or organization.
Need Analysis
We analyze whether there is an actual need for the proposed change or solution and test the urgency and feasibility.
Problem & Research
We thoroughly investigate the problem, collect relevant data and involve experts and stakeholders to better understand the context and impact.
Case Study
Based on our findings, we write a short case study outlining the ideal solution. This process takes place in co-creation with experts, stakeholders and our partners.
Prototype Development
Or we develop a prototype as a proof of concept. This process also takes place in co-creation with experts, stakeholders and our partners.
Presentation & Implementation
We present this solution, advice, case study or prototypes, to the right stakeholders, such as policy makers, companies or social organizations, and support them in translating it into concrete actions related to implementation.
Projects
Our projects aim to draw attention to simple yet essential improvements within important social impact themes. Solutions should benefit all stakeholders involved. No lofty advice, but in a playful yet serious way we provide practical input that can open the conversations and lead to action. Here are some of the projects we have initiated:
Kak in de Zak
As fellow dog lovers, we know there’s nothing worse than the unpleasant surprise of stepping into a mess someone else’s furry friend left behind. With the arrival of fall—rain, leaves, and all—we noticed an unfortunate trend: an explosion in unclaimed doggie deposits cluttering our sidewalks.
Determined to turn things around, we teamed up with some amazing neighbors to create a simple but powerful solution: a fun, eye-catching sticker reminding dog owners of their duty to our community. And guess what? It’s working! Since adding these reminders to the neighborhood, those random "landmines" have been steadily disappearing, leaving our streets cleaner and everyone a little happier.
Fedivariety
Fedivariety is a project dedicated to exploring the potential of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for public administration.
Our current project, funded by NLnet foundation, focuses on integrating the Fediverse into public administration. By examining the experiences of the EU Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) with EU Voice and EU Video, we aim to identify challenges and benefits associated with decentralized social media solutions.
Happy Horeca
With Happy Horeca, we empower restaurant and café visitors to share their feedback directly and privately with the owner—no need to post it publicly on social media first. This approach gives the owner a valuable opportunity to act on both compliments and constructive criticism, ensuring a better experience for everyone.
Our prototype? Simple yet effective: blank Happy Horeca feedback cards and a pen, handed out with the bill (or printed on the receipt). A small step for the guest, a giant leap for great hospitality!
